Since the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes conference which was held in April at the University College Dublin it has been extremely busy – our stand had an excellent attendance yet again which made it all worthwhile. I think that the chocolate covered Animal Biscuits that were being handed out by the mini packet to delegates helped – along with the sweets of course! Talking about biscuits – I cannot believe how many people - grown men included (you know who you are!!) came over to see our main attraction "Biscuit" the "dog" – despite the fact he cost an excess of nearly £160.00 to fly him out and back – I am so glad we took him. He did have a few accidents when he backed himself off the display stand but there were enough vets on site to help! He is very happy in my lounge at the moment but will be making a new home for himself in my study soon – at times he just looks so real. He has his bag packed for Jersey in 2010.
