We are taking part in two very different events on this date - one during the day and the other in the evening and for two different local charities - both of which attended the free charity seminar. Details to be announced as soon as we have them..
Free One Day Charity Seminar - 5th February 2010
Aware that many charities from different causes were eager to engage and learn more about responsible social networking and in particular Twitter, we organised and hosted a completely free one day seminar in the boardroom at Festival House. Delegates, who came from all over the country, listened intently to several presentations including one from BPE Solicitors LLP who are members of the Charity Law Association. They gave advice on legal issues to be aware of including copyright infringement, cyber-squatting and damage to reputation which all those attending found exceptionally valuable.
Mike Payton of TAP Business Development created an excellent course on the subject of Twitter - from setting up a page, connecting with followers, adding pictures, geotagging, and Twitterquette! After a buffet lunch this was followed by a seminar on Innov8ive SEO and effective organic search engine optimisation with the emphasis on how to keep a site active and therefore enhancing search engine rankings. One way to do this is to incorporate your Twitter feed or blog within your website!
All those attending were at varying stages of using social networking tools which was advantageous especially whilst networking with each other and during Q & A sessons with the presenters.
Delegates were asked for topics they would like to hear about in future seminars and they included Data Protection and marketing techniques which they are eager to attend.
As well as our AniLog Animal Welfare charity clients we also invited other charity organisations to attend as our guests. Since the event two of the charities have now set up their Twitter site which has been really gratifying for all those involved as it has enabled them to engage with a new and wider community.
We have appointed BPE Solicitors in all legal matters including employment and to protect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of Innov8ive Software Limited and attend their legal and network events. The most recent event was an Employment Law update which amongst many topics covered "Fit Notes", pensions and Agency Workers Regulations.
Our accountants are Hazlewoods LLP and we regularly attend their breakfast seminars which have a variety of topical subjects such as the budget and green issues etc.
Our Directors are invited to attend many other prestigious events including those held by Coutts & Co - our Business Development Director was invited to join one of their regular initiatives.
All our electrical equipment, including portable items such as laptops that we might take to client's premises, is PAT Tested on an annual basis.
Innov8ive Software Limited has a Business Continuity Plan, employer and public liability insurance and professional indemnity policies in place.
We regularly review our business plan to ensure continued market growth in all client sectors so that we not only fulfil our clients expectations but exceed them.
